Wanda Higgins, age 74, of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
She was born on Wednesday, May 17, 1950 in Jackson, TN to the late Lucille (Finley) Surles and the late William Surles. She was the owner of Main Street Designs, as well as a member of Odds and Ends Strippers and Hookers and the Stitching Sisters. Wanda was of Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Becky Higgins (Vince Terrell) of Benton, Ky; son, Marty Higgins (Kylie Larrimore) of Benton, Ky; sister, Linda McLeod of Benton, Ky; grandchilden Aiyana Higgins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Higgins; her parents; brother, William Nole Surles; and sister, Gale Henson.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Coffenberry officiating. Burial will follow at Birmingham Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Mercy Health Rehabilitation Unit, 1530 Lone Oak Rd., Paducah, Ky 42003.
