She was the oldest member of Farmington Church of Christ and a homemaker.
Mrs. Burton is survived by one son, Steven Hurshel (Michele) Burton of Farmington, KY; one daughter, Donna Carol Bright of Farmington, KY; and two grandchildren, Stefanie Bright of Anderson, MO and Christopher Bright of Bentonville, AR.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Hurshel Burton and her parents, Thomas Herald and Mollie Jo Jones Cochran.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bettie Jo Cochran Burton will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY, Stan Colley, Carson Barrow and Al Colley, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Al Colley, Rick Rhodes, Matthew Colley, Justin Crouch, Mitchell Hunter, Colson Crouch, Stetson Eubanks, and Greg Workman. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Hendley, Terry Hunter, Eugene Hunter, and Stevie Crouch.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
