Sharon Cope Benrock, 67, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
Sharon was born on February 28, 1957, in Calloway County, Kentucky, to the late Jimmie Cope and Sue West Cope. Earlier in her life, she attended South Marshall High School and later received a degree in Applied Science from West Kentucky Community and Technical College. Sharon enjoyed the beauty of being outdoors and the simple pleasures of camping or going to the lake. Her creative side was evident in her love for painting pictures and writing and her ability to teach herself how to play the piano by ear. As a member of New Harmony Baptist Church, her faith and loving heart touched many lives. For Sharon, family always came first and was the cornerstone of her life. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where she enjoyed cooking and hosting family meals.
