He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, a retired employee of McClain Trucking and a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Darnell is survived by one son, Scott Darnell of Graves County; one daughter, Debbie Johnston of Sedalia, KY; two sisters; seven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Smith Darnell; one son, Eugene Darnell, Jr.; one daughter, Vanessa Carter; and his parents, Harry and Georgia Darnell
Funeral services for Mr. Eugene “Redbob” Darnell will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. David Lee will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Boyd, Hunter Boyd, Cephus Tyler III, Dustin Boyd and Damien Caldwell.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
