He was an employee of Sharp’s Roofing. He loved and was loved by all of his family members, especially his nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sharp is survived by his parents, Teddy and Christy Dowdy Sharp of Mayfield, KY; his maternal grandmother, Joyce Dowdy of Mayfield, KY; three brothers, Teddy Sharp, Jr., Jonathan N. (Christine) Sharp and Christopher (Jade) Sharp all of Mayfield, KY; and four sisters, Melissa Fernandez of Florida, Rosanna Mejia of Arizona, Crystal (Tyler) Sanderson of Clarksville, TN and Breanna (Christian Paintner) Sharp of Mayfield, KY.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Maxine Sharp; his maternal grandfather, Jerry Dowdy; and his uncle, Jerry Keith Dowdy.
Funeral services for Mr. Jathen Trent “J Bug” Sharp will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Chad Lamb will officiate. Interment will follow at Mayfield Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Teddy Sharp, Jr., Christopher Sharp, Willy Sanderson, Christian Paintner, Anthony Sullivan and Charles Ford, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnathon Sharp, Gaylon Moore, Cobi Moore, Tyler Sanderson and Kenneth Palmer.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
