Mary “Kathi” Larkin, 63, of Calvert City, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

Kathi was born to James Stevenson and Leslie Sherwood Stevenson on June 6, 1961, in Benton, Kentucky. Having worked various jobs earlier in life, she eventually decided to pursue a career in cosmetology. She graduated from beauty school in Paducah, where she perfected her craft before sharing her talents at multiple salons in the Calvert City area. Despite some of life’s adversities, Kathi’s resilience never waned. She found peace and happiness in spending time with her children and grandchildren. As a loving mother and grandmother, she dedicated her life to her family, creating a haven of happiness. She loved cooking for her family, lounging at the pool, digging her toes in the sand at the beach, and spending time at the lake. She loved her family and Jesus and was a devoted member of First Missionary Baptist Church. Her faith in Jesus was an ever-present source of strength and inspiration that she shared with many others the past several years of her life. Kathi was cherished by all who knew her, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and joy.

She is survived by one daughter, Leah Larkin of Nashville, Tennessee; one son, Jay Larkin (Trista) of Benton, Kentucky; one brother, Paul Stevenson (Anita) of Benton, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Dylan Larkin, Olivia Larkin, and Ben Larkin; and her mother, Leslie Sherwood Stevenson.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Stevenson.
