Sandra Hooker, age 78 of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 8:31 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2024 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Sandra was a member of the Metropolitan Church. Sandra was a retired LPN Nurse having worked at Lourdes Hospital and Charter Hospital. Sandra enjoyed reading, cooking, and entertaining friends. She was a gracious host when friends gathered. Sandra was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs Football team.
Survivors include one daughter, Aimee Thompson, St. Petersburg, FL; one son, Gerald “Randy” Hooker, Paducah, KY; partner, Peggy Bridges, Brookport, IL; one sister, Delores Lyles, Burleson, TX; one brother, Steve Sikes (Sue) Paducah, KY; four grandchildren, Katelin (Daniel) Edwards, Kisten Thompson, Hallie Hooker and Amanda Hooker; five great-grandchildren, Jack, Bella, Elsa, Kendyl, Elijah Edwards; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were parents, Wilma E. Sikes and Lola Sikes Haywood; one sister, Wanda Baker and one brother, Gerald “Jerry” Sikes.
A private family and friends memorial service will be held at a later date.
