Joshua Brown, age 48, of Paducah, Kentucky and formerly from Guanjuanto, Mexico passed away at 9:28 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Mercy Health Lourdes.
Josh was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church, a 1994 graduate of Lone Oak High School. He attended Paducah Community College for one year and then transferred to the University of Kentucky where he received a Master’s degree in Education. He played baseball at Lone Oak High School and for the American Legion in Ballard County. Josh went to Mexico to teach English as a Second Language at University of Guanajuato. Technological Institute of Leon and Bicentenary University, all in Guanjuanto, Josh’s interest in teaching English and US History, and the internet led him to teaching English to students in Spain, France, Italy, Basco Region, China and Taiwan. Josh had been sick for the last 5 years. The problems with his kidneys brought him back to Paducah where he has been on dialysis for the past three years. Josh loved to watch University of Kentucky Basketball and St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. He had a passion for golf and was happy that his daughter, Audrey was playing the sport.
Survivors include his wife, Romina Maldonado; two daughters, Madeline (Maddie) Brown and Audrey Brown; father, Bennie Brown of Paducah; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding in death was his mother, Laverne Kindred Brown.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until service time of 2:00 p.m.
