Linda Lou Pace Whitt, 72 of Symsonia passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, at Mills Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mayfield, KY. She was born on June 11, 1952, in Paducah, KY, to Raymond E. and Betty L. Byerley Pace.
As the former owner and operator of Whit’s Garden in Symsonia, Linda poured her heart into every plant and flower, creating a sanctuary of natural beauty for all who visited. Her green thumb was only surpassed by her dedication to music and faith. For many years, Linda graced several churches with her musical talents as a church organist and was a member of Symsonia Baptist Church.
Linda’s role as a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother was the most precious to her. Her family will forever cherish her nurturing love, unwavering support, and the wisdom she imparted.
Her memory will continue to bloom in the hearts of those she touched, just as the flowers of her beloved garden.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Larry L. Whitt of Symsonia; a son, Chad Whitt of Seattle, WA; a granddaughter, Danielle Whitt of Paducah, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael Whitt, and a brother, Gary E. Pace.
