The Marshall County Republican Women would like you to know that there will be a Republican Presidential Caucus for Marshall County Residents
Republicans in Marshall and Livingston Counties (who were registered as Republicans to vote by Dec. 31, 2015) will have the opportunity to vote on March 5, 2016, in the Republican Presidential Caucus.
Registered voters can vote any time between the hours of 10 AM to 4 PM at Central Elementary School in Draffinville. Once inside voters will see dozens of other Republicans, visiting tables for the presidential candidates who have elected to participate in the Kentucky Caucus. There may be a representative for each candidate who can answer questions. Voters can also be given information from the Marshall or Livingston county GOP party, and the Republican Women’s club. Representatives and/or Candidates running for Kentucky State seats may also be available to answer questions.
When voters are ready to cast their vote by secret ballot, caucus goers will move to the balloting area. At this point, the caucus will feel like a typical polling location. Voters will present identification to a trained Caucus Official, who will look them up on the voter roster. Voters will sign in, as they would during a typical election, and will be handed a ballot. After marking their selection, they will insert their ballot into a secure ballot box and are then free to leave.
Kentucky’s Republican delegates to the national convention will be allocated proportionately among the candidates based on the results of the Caucus.
