Mr. Bobby P. Coles, 89 of Murray, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House, Murray, KY.

Born December 30, 1934, in the Midway community, Bobby was the son of the late Harry and Cloteal (Phillips) Coles. He began working at the Murray Ledger and Times as a typesetter, then worked assembly with Tappan Stove Company in Murray. He later drove for Murray Silica Sand Company, Taylor Motors, and Trucks Trailers and Buses. He was also a driver for R.W. Bell Farms and AB Ridings Trucking and retired as a truck driver for Mattel, Murray Plant. Bobby was a member of the Almo Church of Christ and attended Glendale Road Church of Christ.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 67 years, Annette (Todd) Coles of Murray, KY; children, Allen Coles, wife Debbie of Murray, KY, Dedra Schneider, husband Corey of Murray, KY and Mitzi Borders, husband David of Linn Creek, MO; brother, Gerald Coles, wife Shirley of Murray, KY; 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Lenice Coles; and two nephews, Andy Coles and Harry Coles.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, with Steven Hunter and John Dale officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Murray City Cemetery, Murray, KY. Pallbearers will be Trent Dalton, Thomas Dalton, Corey Schneider, Jackie Hughes, Gary Farris, Carl Wyatt, Tim Coles, Roy Wyatt and Shea Sykes.

Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024, and after 8:00 a.m. until the service time at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, 713 South 4th Street, Murray, KY 42071.
