Anna Mae Elkins, 73, of Benton, Kentucky passed away at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at her residence.
She was born on February 22, 1951 in Los Angeles, California to the late Albert J. Coons and Geraldine Mae Hall Coons. Anna Mae was retired from Amerisource as an Order Filler. She was a proud licensed Ham Radio Operator. Anna Mae enjoyed sewing and music, which was a big part of her life. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and spending time with them.
Anna Mae is survived by her husband of 40 years, Theadore Lee Elkins; daughter, Pamela Ann (Roy) Hopper of Calvert City, Kentucky; step-daughter, Kim Elkins of Alabama; seven grandchildren, Skyler, Katelyn, Micah, Lela, Daniel, Dylan and Dara; one great-granddaughter; sister, Peggy (David) Richards of Graves County, Kentucky; brother, Don (Judy) Coons of Oregon.
She was preceded in death by a step-son, Christopher Elkins and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2024 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Private burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
