Debra Lee Copeland Lewzader, known affectionately as Debbie to her friends and family, passed away peacefully at her home in Paducah, Kentucky, on July 10, 2024, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on November 27, 1954, in Murray, Kentucky, Debbie’s zest for life, loving nature, and courageous spirit touched all who knew her.

Debbie’s journey through life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family, a successful career, and a passion for being present in the lives of her loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and dedication that will be cherished by her beloved husband, Philip Lewzader, and her children, Misty Grebner (Josh), Ryan Reid (Kristin), Jonathan Lewzader (Ashley), Tim Lewzader, and Chris Lewzader. Debbie’s role as a grandmother was one she embraced with her whole heart, and she doted on her grandchildren Sydney Watkins, Kasen Lewzader, Reece Reid, Camden Lewzader, Reid Grebner, Kip Reid, Esmay Lewzader, Avery Lewzader, Claire Lewzader, Emry Lewzader, and Leeam Lewzader, who were indeed the center of her universe. Her sister, Randa Copeland Pitman (Danny), and her brother, Drew Copeland (Shannon), along with her cherished nieces and nephews, Adam Pitman (Tiffany), Aaron Pitman (Ashley), Hilary Copeland, and Carly Prince (Danny), will forever remember Debbie’s radiant smile and the special moments they shared.

Debbie’s professional life was characterized by her role as a Realtor, where she dedicated over 25 years to serving the Paducah community and the surrounding areas. She was an esteemed member of the Kentucky Board of Realtors, where her colleagues respected her for her integrity, tenacity, and genuine care for her clients. Debbie’s spirited personality made her a joy to work with, and she left a lasting impact on the real estate community.

Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and Debbie’s presence was a constant at their baseball games, dance recitals, cheer competitions, graduations, and every milestone imaginable. Her energy and enthusiasm for her grandchildren’s activities exemplified her profound love for her family.

Debbie’s courageous battle with cancer showcased her strength and resilience, inspiring those around her to face challenges with grace and determination.

Those who knew Debbie will remember her as a spirited and loving woman, whose courage and love knew no bounds. Debbie’s memory will live on as a guiding light for her family, a reminder of the joy and love she brought into their lives.

Debbie was preceded in death by one brother, Doug Copeland; and her parents, Charles Copeland and Patricia Edwards Copeland.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, July 15, 2024, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, KY 42025.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 15, 2024, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann with Bro. Ricky Cunningham officiating. Entombment will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens.
