Mr. Mason Allen Cook, Jr., 79, of Murray, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at his home.
Mr. Cook was born to the late Mason Cook, Sr. and Betty Traylor Cook on October 22, 1944 in Kennett, MO. Mason loved to visit the casino and play cards. He and his wife, Karen, owned and operated Early American Motel in Aurora, KY for many years. In addition, he was a car enthusiast. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Christopher Cook and Mason Allen Cook, III.
Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Mrs. Karen Cook of Murray; a brother, Jonathan Cook of Poplar Bluff, MO; a half brother, Wayne Odom of Pace, FL; a sister, Judith Ann Williams of Kennett, MO and two grandchildren, Cole Cook of Chicago, IL and Nick Coleman of Murray.
The funeral service honoring Mr. Cook is set for 12 pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Imes Funeral Home, 311 North Street, Murray. Sammy Cunningham will officiate and burial will follow at Murray City Cemetery.
His family welcomes visitors from 11 am until 12 pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at the funeral home.
