He was a retired employee of General Tire and a retired farmer.
Mr. Tidwell is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sue Ann Richmond Tidwell; two children, Danny (Carita) Tidwell and Tammy (Steve) Lamb; one half-sister, Sheila (Glenn) Harrison; three nephews, David Harrison, Jimmy Harrison and Tony Harrison; one stepbrother, George Cochran; four grandchildren, Kayla (Craig) Sullivan, Miranda (Nick Waldrup) Tidwell, Keylee Lamb and Koby Lamb; and five great grandchildren, Ty Sullivan, Everleigh Waldrup, Juliette Waldrup, Gracie Sullivan and Emily Waldrup.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Ruth Howard and his maternal grandparents, William “Rob” and Ethel Howard.
Funeral services for Mr. Robert Lynn Tidwell will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Joe Ben Pritchard and Denny Foy will officiate. Interment will follow at Lynnville Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Craig Sullivan, Koby Lamb, Kent Parm, Brad Wiggins, John Wiggins and Russ Gills. Richard Stamper, Hal Britt, Danny Foy, Jackie Pritchard, Billy Pritchard and Darlene Connell will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the funeral home.
