Darrel loved his family, especially his grandbabies. He never met a stranger and enjoyed being with his friends. Darrel worked on the river as a Deckhand for ACBL for many years. He was a proud Army veteran.
Darrel is survived by four children, Leroy D. Wilson, William Wilson, Michelle Scarabin, and Ashley (Malcolm) Lewis; five siblings, Mark Wilson, Terry Wilson, Bonnie Langston, Jolene McQuiston, and Julie Raybern; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Preceding Darrel in death are his parents, Leroy Wilson and Elizabeth Jean Horner; two children, Jeannine Bruce and Andrew Wilson; one brother, Jeff Wilson; and a granddaughter, Abigail Schaefer.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
