Glenda Watkins Calhoun Houseman, age 77, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at 4:06 A.M. Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Rivercrest Place.
Glenda was born in Paducah on Monday, November 11, 1946, to Daniel and Thelma Watkins. After receiving an Associate Degree in Accounting, she was employed as a bookkeeper with Arch Environmental Equipment, Inc. and Computer Source, Inc. Glenda enjoyed dancing, spending time sewing, and was a faithful member of Bethel Tabernacle.
Mrs. Houseman is survived by her husband of 38 years, Johnny Houseman; her son, Cary Lynn Calhoun; her stepdaughters, Rebecca Addis (Tim) of Benton, Kentucky, Sherry Houseman and Johnna Houseman, both of Calvert City, Kentucky, Denise “Dee Dee” Culp (Charles) of Paducah, and Laura Walston (Joey) of Calvert City; her sisters, Ruby Lois McFarling and Marsha Lewis (Daniel) all of Paducah; her brothers, Don Watkins (Ann) of Paducah, Dennis Watkins of Sevierville, Tennessee, Gerald Watkins and Darwyn Watkins, both of Paducah; Her grandchild, Kayla; her great-grandchild, Kaitlyn; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Houseman was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Homer Watkins and Thelma Lois Smith Watkins; her sister, Laverne Pinkard; and her brother, Frankie Watkins
Funeral services are scheduled for noon on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Richard Phillips and her brother, Rev. Don Watkins officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until noon on Monday, April 15, 2024.
