Michael Dale Joslyn, age 73, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 3:10 P.M. Monday, February 26, 2024 at Ray and Kay Eckstien Hospice Care Center.
Michael was born at Riverside Hospital in Paducah to Irvin and Mildred Joslyn on Sunday, June 11, 1950. He was a 1968 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School. Michael attended Paducah Community College, Murray State University, and later graduated from the Institute of Electronic Technology. He served his country in the United States Army in Panama, and later served in the Army reserves. He retired as an Instrument Mechanic with USEC / Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant. Michael had a love for all animals. Earlier in life he enjoyed boating, biking and the outdoors.
Mr. Joslyn is survived by his sisters, Iris “Dean” Goodrich, Mary Peterson and Kay Mullen, all of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his brother, Doug Joslyn (Sandy) of Paducah; eight nephews and a niece, and four great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Joslyn was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin Mitchell Joslyn and Mildred Long Joslyn; and a sister, Joyce Ann Johns.
No services are scheduled at this time.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital ICU and the caring, compassionate nurses at the Ray and Kay Eckstien Hospice Care Center. A special thank you goes to his caregiver Melony Rodriguez who was dedicated to his care, giving him love, laughter and a renewed will to live.
