
Marilyn Frances Yunker, age 76, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Born April 6, 1947, in Caldwell County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Clint Mitchell and Aline Wood.
Marilyn was retired from Pomeroy where she worked in technology sales for 20 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, and a former member of Blue Spring Missionary Baptist Church in Caldwell County. She enjoyed spending time with her friends in spirited conversation and a few rounds of card playing and was an avid fan of word games, especially crossword puzzles. More than anything she loved spending quality time with her family, especially in her role as Nana to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, John Yunker (Mandy) of Nashville, TN and daughter, Ginger Adcox (Tim) of Hendersonville, TN; five grandchildren, Megan Yunker, Wesley Yunker, Grace Adcox, Claire Adcox, and Ethan Adcox; three brothers, Harvey Mitchell (Barbara), Jerry Mitchell (Penny), David Mitchell (Doris) and two sisters, Ruth Anne Mitchell and Betsy Meredith (Eddie), all of Caldwell County; and her children’s father, Gordon Yunker (Mary) of Radcliff, KY and his always loving family from North Dakota.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Blue Spring Church Cemetery, 5092 Blackhawk Road, Princeton, Kentucky, with Rev. Mike Boyd officiating. Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, is in care of arrangements.
