Brenda K. McClain, 72 of Murray, KY, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House, Murray, KY.
Brenda was born on September 10, 1951, in Corbin, KY, and was the daughter of the late William Ben and Ruth (Myers) Hill. She worked at Westview Nursing Home and Fisher-Price Toys, then spent many years as a housekeeping supervisor at Murray-Calloway Co. Hospital and Glendale Place in Murray, ultimately retiring from Calloway County High School. Brenda was a member of the South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
Brenda was a kind-hearted woman who cared deeply and had a passion for helping others. Her heart of gold touched the lives of everyone she met, and she will be dearly missed.
Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, Larry Dale McClain of Murray, KY; son, Mitchell Dale McClain, wife Lauren of Reidland, KY; eleven siblings including her twin sister, Linda Hutson, husband Joe Pat of Murray, KY; and her grandchildren, Kali McClain, Michaela Brown, Aiden Fisher and Aubrey Fisher. She will also be lovingly remembered as “Aunt B” by many nieces and nephews.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Jennifer Ann McClain Wolf, who passed away in 2001.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, Murray, KY with Rev. David Allbritten officiating. Burial will follow the service in the South Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Hazel, KY.
Friends may visit with the family after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, 713 South 4th Street, Murray, KY.
