Christian Fellowship senior, Gracie Howard, was just 12 points away from breaking the First Region all-time scoring record for both girls and boys when the Lady Eagles took the floor on Monday to play Carlisle County.

Howard had eight points in the first quarter and scored her 10th point early in the second. She was fouled on her next shot sending her to the free throw line. She hit the first free throw to tie and with the record on the line, sank the second for her 3,101-career point.

Howard broke the record of 3,100 held by Paducah Tilghman’s Chelsey Shumpert in the 2013-2014 season. Howard has seven regular season games and the 4th District Tournament left in her senior season to add to her total of 3,122 points. She finished with 33 in the Lady Eagles 78-44 loss to Carlisle County.
