
On January 20, 2024 Deputy Austin Ramage and Trooper Matthew Fleming responded to the address of Kentucky 1241 in Hickory for a domestic abuse. A Patricia Wells from this address called and stated her boyfriend, Ronald Coleman, had hit her in the face and was still on scene at the time of the call. Kentucky State Police Dispatch advised Units Coleman had a Parole warrant from Marshall County for absconding signed back in March of 2023. Once Units arrived on scene, they found Coleman had fled on foot and was outside in the weather. Units check on Wells made sure she did not need any medical treatment and got her statement. Wells advised Units on scene Coleman had choked during the altercation. She declined any treatment. Deputy Tyler Crane and Deputy Chad Hall then responded to the scene to assist with the search of Coleman. Emergency Management was contacted and updated on the situation. EM contacted McCracken County Sheriff’s Offices who sent two Deputies along with a K-9 and a drone to assist with the search of Coleman. After a long search Coleman returned to the residence. Wells then called 911 to report his return. Deputies were less than ¼ of a mile from the residence and made a quick response. Coleman was located with out incident. He was lodged on his charges of a Parole violation warrant from Marshall County, Assault 4th (Domestic Violence) Minor injury, and Strangulation 1st and Coleman was lodged at the Marshall County Jail.
