Richard Roy Sandberg, 78 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation.
Richard was born in Joliet, Illinois on September 3, 1945 to the late Roy Sandberg and Mildred Wagner Sandberg. He served our country in the United States Army and was a member of the VFW and the Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his son, Steve Sandberg and wife, Angie of Monticello, Florida; daughter, Christina Scheese and husband, Tim of Lake Butler, Florida; one sister, Carol Roberts of Calvert City, KY; and two grandchildren, Tyler and Kyle Scheese.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
