Work zone active 7 a.m. to about 3 p.m., at the KY 5041/Goad Drive intersection
PADUCAH, Ky. (October 27, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a work zone lane restriction along U.S. 45 North of the KY 1241 intersection in the Lone Oak area of McCracken County on Monday, October 30, 2023.
This work zone along U.S. 45 at at mile point 9.72 at the KY 6041/Goad Drive intersection is to allow excavation in the median area so the left turn lane can be extended. The work zone is along U.S.45 about halfway between the KY 1241 intersection and the KY 339/Clinton Road intersection near Lone Oak First Baptist Church.
Motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach the work zone. Both northbound and southbound traffic will move to the right-hand or driving lane in this work zone.
This work zone is expected to be active from 7 a.m., to about 2 p.m., CDT, on Monday.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
