Mr. Phil D. Bentz, age 48, of Mayfield passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
He was a lover of all sports, an employee of Lowe’s Home Improvement in Mayfield, KY and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Mr. Bentz is survived by his wife of 9 years, Traci Parsons Bentz; his parents, Tom and Jan Negele Bentz of Destin, FL; his grandmother, Vera Negele of Pentwater, MI; two sons, Evan Burns of Foley, AL and Marshall Bentz of Springfield, MO; one brother, Thomas H. Bentz, Jr. of Washington, D.C.; and one sister, Kimberly Bentz (Dustin) Leonard of Panama City Beach, FL.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Donna Bentz; his maternal grandfather, Joseph Negele; and his maternal grandmother, June Knudsen.
Graveside services for Mr. Phil D. Bentz will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Highland Park Cemetery. Interment will follow. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 26.
Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
