
⦁ On Monday, August 28th, 2023, around 8:15pm, Deputy David Carroll arrested and charged Osvaldo Guzman-Guttirez (27) of Kuttawa after finding him on Gum Street in Kuttawa. Guttirez was served with a Lyon District Court bench warrant after he failed to appear in court for drug related offenses. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
⦁ On Tuesday, August 29th, 2023, at 8am, Sheriff Brent White responded to a trespassing complaint at a Kuttawa business on Days Inn Drive. Upon arrival, Sheriff White located a white male passed out at the business directly underneath a no trespassing sign. The male had trashed the sidewalk to the business and began cursing upon being awaken. He was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespassing-2nd Degree, Criminal Littering, and Disorderly Conduct-2nd Degree. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
⦁ On Wednesday, August 30th, 2023, at 7:13am, Sheriff Brent White responded to a trespassing complaint off Seneca Drive, South of Eddyville near Indian Hills Trail. Upon arrival, he made contact with Jed A. Weidner (37) of Reading, PA. Weidner was not found to be trespassing; however, he was in possession of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia which was in plain view. Weidner was cited to Lyon District Court for the drug offenses. He was cleared of the trespass allegation and given a warning for a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers property use violation.
⦁ On Thursday, August 31st, 2023, around 11pm, Chief Deputy Sam Adams and Lyon County EMS responded to an overdose complaint on Walnut Drive in Kuttawa. The victim of the overdose event was transported to an area hospital by Lyon County EMS. A male, identified as Brian Goodson (39) of Kuttawa, was found in the street and intoxicated. He was arrested by Chief Deputy Adams and charged with Public Intoxication and Possession of Marijuana. Goodson was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
⦁ On Friday, September 1, 2023, around 4:45pm, Chief Deputy Sam Adams responded to the KY 293 Dollar General store for a complaint of a driver who may have been intoxicated. Chief Deputy Adams did not locate an intoxicated driver; however, he did observe Austin G. Oliver (37) of Eddyville driving a 2006 Lincoln. Chief Deputy Adams knew Oliver did not have a valid operator’s license and was recently cited to court for driving on a suspended license. Adams stopped Oliver’s vehicle on KY 818 and arrested him. He was charged with Operating on a Suspended/Revoked Operator’s License, No Insurance, and Failure to Wear a Seat Belt. Oliver was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
⦁ On Sunday, September 3rd, 2023, around 2pm, Sheriff Brent White received a report of a stolen wallet from the Huck’s Travel Center. The wallet was left by a patron and when he returned, the wallet had been taken and not turned in. The victim noticed a charge had been placed on his credit card that was not a valid purchase and he notified law enforcement.
