Re: Injury Vehicle Collision
On August 28, 2023 at approximately 7:38 AM, Sgt. Richard Edwards responded to a two-vehicle collision with injuries on US 45 North at East Powell Road. Penny Hamrick, 54 of Wingo, was attempting to make a right turn onto East Powell Road from US 45 North when she was rear ended by Kristin Rushing, 35 of Mayfield. Mrs. Rushing’s vehicle overturned several times from the impact and came to a rest approximately 15 yards from the collision. Mayfield/Graves County EMS transported Mrs. Rushing to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries. The Viola / North Graves Fire Department assisted with traffic control as US 45 North was closed for clean up of the highway.

Re: Arrests Made on August 21, 2023
On August 21st, 2023 at approximately 10:40 AM, Deputy Larry Jones responded to an address on Wright Street in Mayfield to locate Charles Moore, 44 of Mayfield, on an outstanding Probation Violation warrant.
Upon arrival, Deputy Jones located Charles Moore and a female identified as Heather Clymer, 50 of Mayfield, inside of a portable building on the property. Moore was taken into custody on the warrant. During the investigation, both Moore and Clymer were found to be in possession of Methamphetamine and items of drug paraphernalia. In addition to the arrest warrant, both Moore and Clymer were arrested and charged with the following:
Charles Moore was charged with:
-Warrant for Probation Violation
-Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 3rd or Greater Offense Methamphetamine
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Heather Clymer was charged with:
-Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense Methamphetamine
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Deputy Jones was assisted by Deputy Zac Smith and the Mayfield Police Department.
