LAND BETWEEN THE LAKES, KY/TN – The Golden Pond Visitor Center and Planetarium and the Elk & Bison Prairie will be closed Friday – Sunday, January 22 – 24, due to Winter Storm Jonas predicted for tonight and tomorrow. This is to ensure safety of our visitors and staff. We will evaluate conditions on Monday, January 25, to re-open these attractions.
The National Weather Service is predicting extremely hazardous driving conditions. Woodlands Trace National Scenic Byway runs north to south through Land Between The Lakes, and is not treated following snow and ice events. For your safety, and the safety of others, motorists should avoid unnecessary travel through the area during and following this
winter storm.
