Mr. Marty Lynn Canter, age 60, of Mayfield passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at his residence.
He was a member of Farmington Baptist Church, a retired employee of IBEW Local 816 and a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Canter is survived by his wife, Cathy Wilson Canter; his step-father, Keith Weaks of Mayfield, KY; two sons, Jacob Lynn Canter of Farmington, KY and Nash Evan (MyKenzie) Canter of Mayfield, KY; one sister, Stacey Hobbs of Farmington, KY; two step-brothers, Mike Weaks of Farmington, KY and David Weaks of Mayfield, KY; two step-sisters, Cathy (Mark) Crawford and Candy Weaks both of Mayfield, KY; three grandchildren, Ace Lynn Canter of Mayfield, KY, Gunner Alexander Canter of Mayfield, KY and Gannon Zachary Canter of Mayfield, KY; and his best friend, Billy DeLapp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Vernon Canter and Jessie Glover Weaks; his paternal grandparents, Fred and Anna Canter; and his maternal grandparents, M.C. and Hazel Rose; two half-sisters, Darlene Girard and Terri Canter.
Memorial services for Mr. Marty Lynn Canter will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Ben Stratton will officiate.
Visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
