James R. Parrill, 88 passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in Calvert City, Kentucky.
James was born to the late Virgil and Etta Frances Parrill on February 20, 1934 in Zanesville, Ohio. He experienced war first hand, while proudly serving our country in the United States Army. After returning from war he became a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He also spent twenty seven years as a volunteer firefighter in Fairdealing and was instrumental in helping get the new fire station built. In his free time he always enjoyed going fishing and loved the outdoors. James was a member of Pleasant Hope Baptist Church.
James is survived by one brother, Ronnie Parrill; and close friend James Toras (Jennifer) of Benton, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Melinda Marlow Parrill; one sister, Etta Frances Morrison; four brothers, Charles Joseph Parrill, Virgil Parrill, Bobby Parrill and Billy Parrill.
