Nancy Young Rose LeSieur, 79 of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, peacefully with her family by her side.
Nancy was born January 19, 1943 in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Rev. J. Frank Young and Ruth Pauline Steely Young. She was a 1961 graduate of Benton High School. Nancy obtained her nursing degree from Paducah Community College and worked part-time as Registered Nurse for Dr. Wendell Gordon and at Pennwalt until her children entered school. Nancy spent her career in devotion and service to others with unmatched compassion and care. She was blessed with many artistic talents, including singing, playing piano, drawing, sewing, cooking, and her sense of fashion was as vibrant as her charming personality. She loved the sun and sand, ultimately following them to a second home in Cape Coral, FL, where she retired in 2005. Nancy returned to Kentucky in 2014 to be closer to family, whom she adored. Raised in a minister’s home, her faith, singing and church family were instrumental throughout her life. Whether in Benton, Murray, Brownsville, Cape Coral or most recently at First Christian Church, Hopkinsville Nancy loved being involved in choir, fellowship and outreach.
Nancy is survived by her first husband and father of their children, Bobby Rose of Benton, Kentucky; her sons, Tim Rose (Krista) of Fountain Inn, South Carolina and Todd Rose (Muna) of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Heather Rose Holland (Jason) of Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
