
Christian Fellowship’s Lady Eagles are off to a 5-0 start after Friday’s 65-41 win over Ballard Memorial, quite possibly the best ever for the program according to statistics as far back as 1997-1998.
Another milestone was achieved on Friday. With her 12th point of the game, junior Gracie Howard scored her 2,000th career point. She led the Lady Eagles in their win with 25 points.
Since the 2004-2005 season, CFS and Ballard Memorial have played nine times. The Lady Bombers won the first six meetings and the Lady Eagles have won the last three.
All knotted up at 15 a piece at the end of the first quarter, the Lady Eagles pulled away in the second by outscoring the Lady Bomber 18-9 to lead 33-24 at halftime.
The Lady Eagles took firm control of the game in the third quarter and stretched their lead out to 53-30 on their way to a 24-point win.
CFS will host Livingston Central in a double header today, Dec. 10, that gets underway at 6:00 p.m.

In the second game of the double header, the Eagles lost 92-58 to the Bombers. Elijah Grigg led CFS with 18 points. Andrew Dunning recorded a double double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Five players in double figures for Ballard Memorial were led by Ike Miller with 15.
