Mr. Richard Dean Dowdy, age 66, of Mayfield passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at his residence.
He was of the Baptist faith, a former employee of NAPA and Power Truss and a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Dowdy is survived by his son, Phillip Dowdy of Mayfield, KY; two stepbrothers, David Gann of Mayfield, KY and Paul Gann of Murray, KY; and one stepsister, Rhonda Haley of Mayfield, KY.
He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Billy and Sue Dowdy and his mother, Gracie Blaylock.
Funeral services for Mr. Richard Dean Dowdy will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Mark Dowdy will officiate. Interment will follow at Dowdy Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
