Traffic Stop Nets Two Arrests

On July 24th, 2022, at approximately 8:15pm, a Deputy with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Woodville Rd. in Kevil, KY. The vehicle was a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban driven by 35-year-old Christopher L. Cope of Boaz, KY and occupied by 54-year-old Jody. D. Crenshaw of West Paducah.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Cope was in possession of a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine, a quantity of Marijuana, and other items related to Drug Paraphernalia. Cope also has a suspended operator’s license and is legally prohibited from operating a vehicle on the roadway.

It was also discovered that Crenshaw was in possession of a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine, and other items related to Drug Paraphernalia. Initially, Crenshaw gave a different name for identification. Once at the jail, Crenshaw was identified to which it was learned he was wanted out of McCracken County for violating and absconding his parole. Crenshaw was then served with a Probation Violation warrant.

Both Cope and Crenshaw were arrested and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail where they were lodged.

  • No Tail-Lamps
  • Failure of Non-Owner to Maintain Insurance
  • Possession of Cont. Sub. 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Arrested: Jody D. Crenshaw, 54 of West Paducah, KY

Charges:

  • Possession of Cont. Sub. 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Theft of Identity w/o Consent of Another
