(FRANKFORT, Ky.) – Two western Kentucky county attorneys have been nominated to serve on the executive committee of the Kentucky County Attorneys Association.
Marshall County Attorney Jason Darnall was nominated for vice president, while McCracken County Attorney Cade Foster was nominated as an at-large director. Both are currently serving their second term on the board.
The Kentucky County Attorneys Association represents all 120 county attorneys statewide, with a focus on legislative priorities affecting their communities, along with prosecutorial and civil duties. Kentucky county attorneys prosecute crimes within District Court jurisdiction in their counties and represent county officers and county government in civil legal matters.
Darnall was also nominated to serve on Kentucky’s Prosecutors Advisory Council, a group that meets monthly alongside the Attorney General’s office and nominated board members of the Commonwealth’s Attorneys Association. The PAC addresses prosecutors’ offices’ day-to-day operations, funding, and legislative priorities from a prosecutorial perspective.
