(EDDYVILLE, Ky.) — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reported several arrests over the past week, including three people taken into custody following a domestic disturbance call and multiple DUI arrests.
On Sunday, Aug. 23, around 1:41 p.m., Sheriff Brent White, Kentucky State Police troopers and Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources game wardens responded to a report of a domestic disturbance with shots fired on Hopewell Road. Investigators determined a dispute had occurred and firearms were involved, though no shots were fired. Three adults, all armed with handguns at the time of their arrest, were taken into custody by Sheriff White.
Chase A. Wren, 28, of Boaz, was charged with two counts of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) with minor injury, first-degree wanton endangerment involving a firearm, and interfering with communications. Investigators said a verbal dispute between Wren and two women at the residence turned physical, and Wren pointed his firearm at one of the women and threatened her. He also took her cellphone and placed it in his truck to prevent her from calling 911, according to the sheriff’s office.
Andrena A. Soto, 32, of Kuttawa, was charged with one count of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) with minor injury and violation of conditions of release. The release violation stemmed from contact with Dominick D. West, of Calvert City, whom she was barred from associating with under a Marshall District Court order tied to a separate domestic violence arrest in Marshall County on Aug. 2.
West, 26, was also arrested and charged with violation of conditions of release for the same reason.
All victims in the incident declined medical transport at the scene. Lyon County EMS, KSP and KDFWR assisted at the scene. All three offenders were lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

Chief Deputy Sam Adams responded to a single-vehicle collision on Jack Thomason Road Wednesday, Aug. 26, just after 8 a.m. A 2021 Toyota Venza driven by Lisa Brasher, 55, of Kuttawa, left the roadway and came to rest in a ditch after Brasher swerved to avoid a deer. Lyon County EMS transported Brasher to an area hospital. The Kuttawa Fire Department also assisted.
Deputy Kip Darnell arrested William T. Kirby, 45, of Eddyville, Wednesday evening on a warrant charging him with second-offense DUI with an aggravating circumstance. Kirby was the driver in a single-vehicle injury collision on Titus Road near the KY 818N intersection on June 20, when he was airlifted out of state with extensive injuries. Deputy Luke Fraley’s investigation determined Kirby’s blood alcohol concentration was over .24 at the time. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
Deputy Fraley stopped a vehicle in Eddyville Thursday, Aug. 27, around 5:17 p.m. for expired registration. The driver, Justin H. Phillips, 24, of Marion, was arrested by Deputy Darnell and charged with first-offense DUI, no/expired registration plates, no/expired registration receipt, second-degree criminal simulation, and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle. The criminal simulation charge relates to a substance Phillips allegedly carried in an attempt to pass a drug screen. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
Deputies served a Franklin District Court bench warrant on Larry W. Thomas, 47, of Georgetown, Friday, Aug. 28, around 8 a.m., charging him with non-payment of court costs, fees or fines. Thomas awaits extradition to Franklin County.
Deputies Bradley Dunning, Luke Fraley and Bobby Beeler responded to a reckless driving complaint in Kuttawa Saturday, Aug. 29, around 11:25 p.m. Deputy Dunning arrested the driver, Daniel Remon, 40, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Beech Street and charged him with first-offense DUI with an aggravating circumstance. Remon was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
