Mr. Charles Franklin “Franky” Brandon, 70 of Murray, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family and close friends.
Born August 29, 1955, in Dearborn, MI, Franky was the son of the late Alvin Pratt Brandon, Jr. and Rebecca Ann “Becky” (Ray) Brandon. He spent many dedicated years on the road as a certified hazardous materials driver and retired from Brenntag Mid-South in Calvert City. Franky’s love of the open road wasn’t limited to his work. Away from the driver’s seat, he loved to ride motorcycles, especially climbing aboard his yellow Harley-Davidson “Big Bird,” and enjoying the freedom that came with every ride.
Franky was a member of Glendale Road Church of Christ.
Those left to cherish memories of Franky include his wife of 19 years, Sheila (Dunn) Brandon of Murray, KY; son, Adam Brandon, wife Courtney of Benton, KY; stepsons, Jeremiah Litchfield, wife Elizabeth of Murray, KY, Jarren Litchfield of Dexter, KY and Jantzen Litchfield, wife Holli of Murray, KY; sister, Cindy Pittman, husband Benny of New Concord, KY; grandchildren, Skylar Brandon, Brody Brandon, Ryker Litchfield, Hayden Litchfield, Chelsea Litchfield, Lane Litchfield, Xavier Krauss, Kodah Litchfield, Quill Litchfield, step-grandchildren Zoe Taylor, John Gallagher, Alyx Gallagher and Dupre Rogers; great-grandchildren, Carson Seitz, Bella Seitz and Madlynn Rogers; niece, Lacey Pittman; great-niece, Ashton Pittman; brother-in-law, Michael Edwards; and sisters-in-law, Sheila Dunn, Patty Palmer and Karen Cooper. Franky will also be greatly missed by his precious fur baby, Piper, who was his constant companion.
Franky was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Gene and Betty Dunn; and brother-in-law, Daryl Dunn.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home in Murray, KY with John Dale officiating.
Private burial in the New Providence Cemetery, Hazel, KY, will be held at a later date.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, August 30, 2026, between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, 713 S. 4th St., Murray, KY 42071.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Franky’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
