(BENTON, Ky.) – The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office made several arrests over the past week, ranging from sex offender registration violations to a DUI and a foot chase that ended with a suspect being pulled from a vehicle.
Richard Thomas Turner, 48, of Calvert City, was arrested July 2 on a criminal complaint warrant out of Marshall District Court for failure to comply with sex offender registration, a second or greater offense.
On July 4, deputies responding to a non-injury accident on Tatumsville Highway arrested Zachary Mann, 22, of Gilbertsville. Mann told deputies he had been run off the roadway into a creek. Deputies determined Mann was under the influence of alcohol and charged him with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, first offense.
Also on July 4, deputies responding to a report of ATVs on the roadway at a residence on Hawkeye Road encountered a male who ran into the house as they arrived. Deputies determined the man, identified as William Moore, 19, of Paducah, had an active bench warrant out of Carlisle County District Court. Moore then fled on foot before jumping into a vehicle as a passenger. When he refused orders to exit the vehicle, deputies removed him and he resisted being handcuffed before deputies got him restrained and transported him to jail. Moore admitted to deputies that he knew he had an outstanding warrant.
On July 5, deputies responded to a disturbance at a business on U.S. 641 near Kentucky Dam after a report that a man had come into the store, stolen a drink and was acting disorderly. Deputies located and arrested the man, identified as Courtlant Lambert, 38, of Gilbertsville, and charged him with theft by unlawful taking, possession of marijuana and public intoxication.
Garrett Cedar, 57, of Symsonia, was arrested July 6 on a bench warrant out of Graves District Court for failure to appear in court.
Also on July 6, Terry Martin, 56, of Hardin, was arrested and charged with violation of a Kentucky Emergency Protective Order.
