Two Arrested on Drug Charges After Warrant Search on Justin Lane

(MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky.)-Two Gilbertsville residents are facing drug charges following a search at a Justin Lane residence on Thursday, June 19, 2026.

According to authorities, deputies initially went to the residence in an attempt to locate a male subject who had an active warrant. While at the home, deputies reported seeing illegal drugs in plain view, prompting deputies and detectives to obtain and execute a search warrant on the property.

During the search, officials say methamphetamine and marijuana were recovered from the residence. Two people living at the home were taken into custody as a result.

Michael J. Ellenberger, 50, of Gilbertsville, was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), second offense, along with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Also arrested was 18-year-old Trevor Ellenberger, also of Gilbertsville. He was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first offense, in addition to possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Both individuals were lodged on the charges following the search.
