(EDDYVILLE, Ky.) — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a string of traffic stops, multi-vehicle crashes, a hit-and-run, and multiple disturbances over the past week, resulting in several arrests and citations, according to a media release from the agency.
Traffic Stop Nets Drug, License Charges
A routine traffic stop late Sunday evening, May 24, led to criminal charges for a Princeton woman. Deputy Bobby Beeler pulled over a Kia Soul on KY 93 South around 8:46 p.m. and identified the driver as Amber L. Blick, 27. Blick was charged with operating a vehicle with one headlamp, driving on a suspended or revoked license, and marijuana possession. She was cited to appear in Lyon District Court in June.
Multi-Person Disturbance Draws Two Agencies to Kuttawa Business
Just hours later, shortly before midnight on May 24, deputies were called to a Kuttawa business after reports of a disturbance involving multiple people. Eddyville Police Department was brought in to assist, and four individuals were detained.
Deputy Beeler charged Joseph D. Nonwiler, 28, of Owensboro, with public intoxication and second-degree disorderly conduct. Nonwiler was booked into the Crittenden County Detention Center. A second Owensboro man, Tanner McFadden, 19, was cited for unlawfully possessing alcohol as a person between the ages of 18 and 20. He was issued a citation to Lyon District Court in June. Eddyville Police separately charged two additional individuals under 21 with related alcohol offenses.
Teen Driver Causes Intersection Crash
On Wednesday afternoon, May 27, Chief Deputy Sam Adams investigated a two-vehicle collision at the busy intersection of KY 93 South, KY 293, and KY 1055 around 4:18 p.m.
According to the investigation, Justice Harvey, 18, of Eddyville was stopped at a stop sign on KY 1055 when he pulled into the path of a northbound 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Nicholas D. Armer, 21, also of Eddyville. The two vehicles collided in the intersection. No injuries were reported.
Hit-and-Run Semi Collision Under Investigation
In the early morning hours of Thursday, May 28, Chief Deputy Adams responded to a second vehicle collision, this one in the parking lot of a Kuttawa business around 1:25 a.m. A 2026 Freightliner cab-over semi owned by Royal Trucking of West Point, Mississippi, was parked when another semi struck the front passenger-side bumper while driving through the lot — then left without stopping.

Shoplifting Arrest at KY 293 Business
Sheriff Brent White responded Friday morning, May 29, to a shoplifting complaint at a business on KY 293. The investigation led to the arrest of Jessica L. Owen, 19, of Eddyville, who was charged with theft by unlawful taking under $500. Owen was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
Woman Assaulted in Kuttawa Business Disturbance
Early Sunday morning, May 31, Deputy Beeler was dispatched to a Kuttawa business after reports of a disturbance. Investigators determined that a verbal altercation had escalated into a physical assault against a woman at the location.
Michael D. Chamber, 27, of Henderson was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault, public intoxication, and second-degree disorderly conduct. Chamber was booked into the Crittenden County Detention Center.
All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
