
(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) — Marshall County High School announced the recipients of the 2026 Preston Cope Memorial Scholarships, along with the Marshall Strong and Wacker Scholarships, awarded annually to outstanding Marshall County High School seniors.
This year’s Preston Cope Memorial Scholarship recipients were recognized for their academic excellence, community involvement, and commitment to furthering their education. The scholarship, established in memory of Preston Cope, continues to support the next generation of Marshall County students as they pursue their collegiate goals. Recipients are pictured alongside Preston’s parents, Brian and Teresa Cope.
The Marshall Strong Scholarship, awarded to a senior who has demonstrated resilience, leadership, and dedication to their community, was also presented during this year’s ceremony. The Wacker Scholarship, which recognizes academic achievement and a commitment to service, rounded out the evening’s awards.
The scholarships were presented at the annual Class Night awards ceremony held at Reed Conder Gymnasium. Recipients will use the funds to offset the cost of tuition and expenses at colleges and universities across the region.
