Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Reports String of Arrests, School Drug Incident

(EDDYVILLE, Ky.) — May 3, 2026 – The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office released details this week of several law enforcement actions spanning late April into early May, including the extradition of a repeat DUI offender, a school drug investigation involving four juveniles, and the service of multiple arrest warrants.

Repeat DUI Offender Extradited from Georgia

A Conyers, Georgia man with a lengthy record of driving violations was returned to Kentucky and taken into custody Monday evening. Deputy Bobby Beeler served a Lyon Circuit Court bench warrant on Prince G. Koiyan, 31, around 9 p.m. on April 27 after Koiyan was extradited from Georgia. Koiyan had previously failed to appear in Circuit Court on charges of fourth-offense DUI, third-offense driving on a DUI-suspended license, and a drug-related charge. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

Four Students Charged After THC Vapes Found at Lyon County School

A school resource officer launched an investigation Tuesday morning after administrators reported that several students were allegedly in possession of THC vaping devices. SRO Deputy Cory Jessup was contacted by Lyon County School administration around 7:30 a.m. on April 28. Following the investigation and collection of evidence, four students — three 12-year-old females and one 16-year-old female — were each charged with Possession of Marijuana. All four were released to a parent or guardian.

Somerset Woman Arrested on Stolen Property, Weapons Charges

Deputies served a Pulaski Circuit Court indictment warrant Wednesday afternoon on a Somerset woman facing multiple felony charges. Rebekah J. Devore, 43, was taken into custody at 3:20 p.m. on April 29. She faces charges of Receiving Stolen Property valued between $1,000 and $10,000, two counts of Receiving Stolen Property involving a firearm, and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon. Devore is awaiting extradition back to Pulaski County.

KSP Inmate Served with Indiana Warrant

A Louisville man currently incarcerated at the Kentucky State Penitentiary was served with an out-of-state arrest warrant Friday morning. Deputies served a Clark County, Indiana warrant on Everett M. Harris, 47, around 10 a.m. on May 1. Harris faces charges in Indiana of Intimidation, Invasion of Privacy, and Harassment. He will await extradition to Indiana upon completion of his Kentucky prison sentence.

Man Arrested on Child Support Contempt Warrant, Later Released

A man wanted on a contempt of court charge related to a child support case was located and arrested Saturday afternoon. Deputy Josh Travis, working alongside a Kentucky State Police trooper, found Lee A. Adams, 33, on Timber Lane around 4:30 p.m. on May 2. Adams was arrested on a Lyon District Court bench warrant for Contempt of Court. He later posted a cash bond and was released by the jailer.
