
(CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky.) — A Tennessee man is facing multiple felony charges after leading law enforcement on a reckless high-speed chase across state lines late Friday night.
At approximately 11:55 p.m. on May 2, 2026, Calloway County Central Dispatch received notification that the Henry County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office had attempted to stop a vehicle that subsequently fled north into Calloway County, Kentucky.
Deputies located the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and driving recklessly. Authorities attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver continued to flee before ultimately pulling over at a gas station on Highway 121 South.
The driver, Conner Z. Samuels, 23, of Paris, Tennessee, was taken into custody and lodged at the Calloway County Detention Facility. A passenger in the vehicle was questioned and released.
Samuels faces the following charges:
- Fleeing or Evading Police, 2nd Degree (Class D Felony)
- Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree (Class D Felony) — two counts
- Reckless Driving
- Traffic Violation
