Work is between Dogtown and Abraham roads
(PADUCAH, Ky.) (Apr. 24, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to close a section of KY 1897/Olive Hamlet Road in Marshall County each day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Apr. 27-29, for a pipe replacement project.
This is along KY 1897 between Dogtown Road and Abraham Road, or mile points 1.1 to 2.3.
Weather permitting, the work is scheduled between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. daily. The roadway will reopen to traffic each afternoon and close again the following morning for continued work.
Motorists are asked to self-detour.
