(MURRAY, Ky.) — A Mayfield man faces multiple felony charges after Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over a stolen vehicle Saturday evening.
Deputies initiated a traffic stop on North 12th Street at approximately 6:20 p.m. on April 4, 2026, after identifying the vehicle as reported stolen out of Paducah. During the stop, deputies also discovered the driver was in possession of illegal drugs.
Richard Heard, 43, of Mayfield, was taken into custody and booked at the Calloway County Detention Facility. He faces two felony charges: receiving stolen property valued at $10,000 or more, a Class C felony, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance — methamphetamine — second offense, a Class D felony.
