(CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky.) — An Ohio man is facing multiple felony charges after leading deputies on a high-speed chase through three counties Wednesday morning.

At approximately 9:50 a.m. on April 2, 2026, Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop on Green Valley Road. The driver refused to stop, triggering a pursuit that carried law enforcement through Marshall County, into Trigg County, and through the Land Between the Lakes area.

During the chase, the fleeing driver twice reversed direction by turning in the median, at times reaching high speeds and operating the vehicle erratically. The pursuit came to an end when the vehicle exited the roadway to the right and came to a stop. Deputies took the driver into custody without further incident.

The suspect, identified as Daniel E. Haskins, 43, of Whitehall, Ohio, was transported to the Calloway County Detention Center. He faces the following charges:

  • Fleeing or Evading Police (Class D Felony)
  • Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree — Police
  • Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree
  • Various Traffic Violations

The sheriff’s office is reminding the public that anyone who witnesses unusual or suspected criminal activity is encouraged to call 270-753-3151 or send an email to ccso.office@callkyso.com.
