(Calvert City, Ky.) — (March 30, 2026)–A Calvert City woman is facing drunk driving charges after police responded to multiple reports of a reckless driver near the US 62 and Interstate 24 interchange Friday evening.
Officers were dispatched to the area around US 62 and I-24 on March 27 following several calls about a vehicle being operated erratically. An officer located the vehicle on Lone Valley Road, where it was observed traveling in the middle of the roadway. The officer initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver.
During the stop, the officer detected the odor of alcohol and noted the driver had bloodshot eyes. Following further investigation, the driver was taken into custody.
Gabrielle R. Dykes, 27, of Calvert City was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol — second offense — as well as possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.
