Marshall County Launches Targeted Emergency Alert System for Residents

(BENTON, Ky.) — Marshall County officials are urging residents to enroll in a new emergency notification system designed to deliver location-specific alerts directly to their phones or email.

The Marshall County Fiscal Court and Marshall County Emergency Management have announced the rollout of Hyper-Reach, a targeted alert platform that allows emergency personnel to send notifications to specific streets or neighborhoods affected by a threat or incident — rather than blasting alerts county-wide.

“If an incident occurs in another part of the county, you will not receive unnecessary alerts,” officials said, emphasizing that the system is designed to deliver only information relevant to a resident’s location and safety.

How to Sign Up

Residents can enroll in Hyper-Reach by visiting the registration website or calling 270-527-4729 for assistance. Officials say the quickest enrollment method is the “TEXT” option, which routes users directly to the registration page.

Notably, residents do not need to download the Hyper-Reach app to receive alerts. Once enrolled, notifications are sent directly to a phone number or email address on file.

A brochure with full enrollment details, including the registration website and phone number, is being distributed to county residents.

Why It Matters

Traditional emergency notification systems often send blanket alerts to entire counties or regions. Hyper-Reach gives Marshall County emergency managers the ability to target only the areas where a threat or concern exists — reducing alert fatigue while ensuring those who need critical information receive it promptly.

Marshall County Fiscal Court and Marshall County Emergency Management said the system reflects their ongoing commitment to keeping residents informed when it matters most.

Residents with enrollment questions are encouraged to call 270-527-4729.
