
(CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky.) — Two men are facing felony arson charges following a nearly ten-month investigation into a suspicious residential fire, the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.
Derek Davis, 52, of Benton, and Anthony Regan, 58, of Dexter, were taken into custody March 16 on Calloway County indictment warrants stemming from a structure fire on Curd Cemetery Road that occurred May 20, 2025.
Calloway County Fire Rescue initially flagged the blaze as suspicious. Detectives subsequently determined that Davis and Regan allegedly acted together to intentionally set the fire.
Regan was located and arrested in neighboring Marshall County with assistance from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and is currently held at the Marshall County Detention Center. Davis is lodged at the Calloway County Detention Center.
Regan faces a charge of Arson in the Second Degree, a Class B felony, as well as a Persistent Felony Offender charge. Davis is charged with Conspiracy to Commit Arson in the Second Degree, a Class C felony.
