(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) — Marshall County High School senior Izabella Baker has announced her commitment to continue both her academic and color guard career at the University of Kentucky.
Baker concludes a standout five-year career with the MCHS marching program, a tenure marked by consistent dedication and notable technical development. In addition to her marching accomplishments, she completed three seasons with the school’s Winter Color Guard, sharpening her skills in the competitive indoor arena. She also gained experience performing with Project Imagination, an independent guard based in Jackson, during one season outside of her school program.
This past school year, Baker was named Color Guard Captain — a recognition of both her talent and her character. Teammates and coaches have pointed to her consistency, accountability, and commitment to team unity as defining traits of her leadership.
Baker will join the University of Kentucky as she pursues her next chapter, bringing with her a wealth of competitive experience and a proven record of leadership.
